It took a while for me to understand how this painting of a $100 bill came into existence, and it still fascinates me. Two artists hired micro jobbers on Amazon’s Mechanical Turk for one cent a job. They had 10,000 jobs to be done, one job coming at the cost of $0.01. The job was to paint tiny fractions, pixels you could say, of a picture of a $100 bill.
Did the math? Now they sell the prints for $100 each.
